I use my platform to amplify the voices of Black women

I often state “Black women are deemed loud yet go unheard”. I use my platform to amplify the voices of Black women while also encouraging them to be brave enough to shed the “superwoman cape” to prioritize health and wellness, 2 imperatives in the quest for racial and gender equity.

I work with marginalized groups to uncover and develop their strengths and agency so they may fully engage in the socio-political fight for social justice.

I work with allies to foster intercultural competence and help them move toward becoming accomplices in the work necessary to create social justice and equity.

I also draw on my background as an educational psychologist and former lawmaker to train individuals, organizations, and corporations on issues related to diversity and inclusion as well as help them move toward being anti-racist, develop and implement intercultural competencies. #DrLiteSpeaks
